Zigzong said , "What I do not wish others to do unto me , I also wish not to do unto others"
Personal Response:
This is known by many as the golden rule , all of my life I have tried following "Treat others as you wished to be treated" but I liked this quote better. This quote sounds more soft , it doesn't sound so much as an order! It sound more like a wish , saying you wish others to be good to you and you wish you are good to others also.
Even though I had never heard this quote before I really think we apply it everyday in our life's. We all wish for people to be good to us , and we also wish for ourselves to be good to others. I also think that this quote kind of applies to the bad guys but backwards , deep inside they wish they were good to people so people would be good to them instead of putting them in jail. This way the world would be good and free from problems.
When I was in kindergarden my teacher would always say , "Laura , treat others as you would like to be treated" and I would always take this as a demand , or an order! Sometimes even as a punishment for doing some things! Probably I wasn't the only girl in my kindergarden that felt this way! Because of that I believe that this quote should be promoted and advertised more and even taught more to kids at school than the other one because , its not so much as a demand it makes you want to be a good person not only because your parents or your teachers tell you to! This quote makes you feel that you can be a good person and that people can be good to you.
